What-- Say What Are You Looking At?

Here's Woleai, starting with pictures from around my house, moving on to ones around the island (including the high school I teach at - flag raising). Then I have some shots from work days: replacing a roof and cleaning up the home of a family whose relative had died, which is a ritual for the fourth day after a funeral. Next is a day I felt especially good, I opened a coconut, did laundry, ran and got sunburned wicked bad. Pancake breakfasts have become a regular and AWESOME event, so I throw up some pics of that. Then a picture of Gita and I's garden, one of a guy widdling at the PTA meeting (made a cork for his tuba bottle), one of two kids playing tetherball (they use a plastic bag with cloths stuff in it and kick it instead of slapping/punching), and a cool sunset w/local canoe. Then come the Christmas celebration pictures, my favorite is the one with a guy in sunglasses awkardly posed - he and my host mom (to his right) were doing some SERIOUS booty shaking to a hip-rattling beats. Finally, there are pictures from the going away men's circles I attended. They threw those for a few other guys and myself the weekend before the ship arrived. They were a blast. Don't you just love the last picture of my co-teacher Ramon? It was also his birthday, and he was having fun.
